RADIESSE® is a safe, FDA approved dermal filler that is injected into moderate to deep facial lines to restore a natural, youthful look. RADIESSE® can be used to correct smile lines and naso-labial folds (lines which run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth). It can also be injected on the jawline on either side of a prominent jowl to soften and mask he jowl’s appearance.
The base of RADIESSE® is calcium hydroxyapatite, a matrix of tiny, calcium-based microspheres which form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body. While Dr. Sheila Bond uses several different fillers in her practice, she has found that RADIESSE® works best for deeper folds and wrinkles, since the molecules are the largest of all of the filler products. Because of the molecule size, and its long-lasting properties, RADIESSE® is also perfect for use in the Liquid Face Lift, a procedure which restores the “apples” of the cheeks and lifts all of the face for a fresher, more rejuvenated look. The Procedure
RADIESSE® is injected into the skin to fill wrinkles from the inside out. To alleviate discomfort, Dr. Sheila Bond will prescribe a lidocaine numbing cream to be applied before your procedure.
