What Is The Lash Lift Process?
At The Body and Face Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists NJ, Dr. Shelia Bond’s cosmetic technician uses the following process to reveal the natural beauty of your eyelashes:
- Your eye area is cleansed.
- A silicone rod is gently placed onto the eyelids.
- Your natural lashes are then curled over and attached to the rod with an adhesive to set the lashes.
- The cosmetic technician then applies a lifting lotion to help set the lashes to mold around the curling rod.
The lash lift process takes less than one hour to complete. Clients should avoid touching their eyelashes for the first 24 hours after the procedure and should keep them dry and not use mascara, makeup, or a lash curler for 48 hours after the procedure. A lash brush will be given to you to use daily.
For those clients that desire a darker color for their lashes, tinting with a semi-permanent dye is available. Tinting can help make your lashes look slightly longer.
How Long Does A Lash Lift Last?
Results vary from person to person. Typically, a lash lift lasts about 4 to 6 weeks, depending upon the care and treatment of your lashes. For optimal results, clients are advised to return after six weeks to maintain the desired results.
